ADMINISTRATION: KRA:3 Achieving Excellence in Church Leadership and Effective Performance

The Importance

Church leaders play a vital role in providing spiritual guidance to the Christians they lead. Effective leadership ensures that congregants receive sound teachings and support for their spiritual growth. Leaders are heavily relied upon to build an environment where members feel connected, supported, and encouraged to participate in various Church activities.

Good leadership ensures that the community works diligently toward its goals and objectives; it is also essential in addressing and resolving conflicts in a manner consistent with Christian principles, thereby promoting unity within the Church. Furthermore, church leaders serve as role models for both their followers and the community at large. Their character and actions can influence the ethical standards of the surrounding society by reinforcing the values of love, compassion, and service.

To ensure that excellent leadership is maintained within the Church, regular meetings to discuss progress and the challenges facing the Church are of the utmost importance.

Current Situation:

• To date, 211 General Assembly meetings, 235 Executive Committee meetings, 82 Council of Elders meetings, and 159 Management meetings have been held.

• Constitutional meetings are not being held consistently at all levels (Parishes, Districts, and Diocese).
